Clearing the history in Firefox - Clear the Mozilla Firefox Browsing History |

Mozilla Firefox (like other browsers) keeps a browsing history of the webpages you visit, it does this so you can easily find a webpage you recently visited again.

The Browsing History
Firefox stores your webpage history on your computer, it can be very useful, especially if you forget the URL of a website you recently visited and wanted to return to.
To view your webpage history hold down the CTRL key and press H.
Sometimes you will want to clear the browsing history, Firefox allows you to do this easily.
This page will guide you through clearing the history in Firefox versions 2 and 3.

Before you follow this tutorial you must read the terms of our disclaimer.

Start the Mozilla Firefox program (if not open).
Click on TOOLS on the menu bar, then click on OPTIONS, see fig 1.1 below:
You will then see the Firefox Options dialogue box, click on the PRIVACY icon (labeled A in fig 1.2) and you will be presented with the Firefox Privacy settings (fig 1.2) below.

You can change the amount of days that Firefox will remember your browsing history, alter if required.
To clear your history click the CLEAR BROWSING HISTORY NOW (Firefox Versions 1 and 2) or the CLEAR NOW (Firefox Version 3) button.
When done, click the OK button (as shown in fig 1.2).
