Changing Screen Resolution in Windows 98 |
This guide will take you through the straight forward process of changing your screen resolution in Windows 98®.

Before you follow this tutorial you must read and agree to the terms of our disclaimer.
First click on the START button then hover the mouse over Settings and then click on Control Panel.
Now Double click on the Display icon (see below).
Then click on Settings tab at the top right.

Notice the slider labeled Screen Area (see below), this can be moved left and right to adjust the resolution, the available settings will depend on your PC, but the standard settings are 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768 and 1152x864.
The one you choose will depend on personal preference, you can see a preview of the screen in the small monitor, when you have selected the one you want simply click OK.
Next you will get a prompt informing you that if your screen doesn't display properly wait 15 seconds and it will resume the last resolution.
Simply click OK
Now your screen will be at your selected resolution, if you want to keep the change then simply click Yes.
