IE7 users - Please read this before you proceed.

You will need the original installation cd:

If your CDROM drive is not looked at before the HDD you will need to alter the Boot Sequence in the Bios.

1. Insert the XP installation cd in the CDROM Drive then switch on the computer.

2. You will receive the following message:

This portion of the Setup program prepares Microsoft Windows XP to run on your computer:

To setup Windows XP now, press ENTER.

To repair a Windows XP installation using Recovery Console, press R.

To quit Setup without installing Windows XP, press F3.

DO NOT at this point select R.....I repeat DO NOT SELECT R

Select ENTER ( big key used for OK / RETURN )

3. On the Windows XP Licensing Agreement screen, press F8 to agree to the license agreement

4. Make sure that your current installation of Windows XP is selected in the box, and then press R to repair Windows XP.

5. Follow the instructions that appear on the screen to reinstall Windows. After you repair Windows , you may have to reactivate your copy of Windows XP.

Please note:
After performing a repair / reinstall of Windows you will need to visit Windows Update
