Here is the setup. I have a dedicated server hosted with Server Intellect. It is a windows 2008 server. I have a work station windows xp sp3 at the house. I RDP (remote desktop) to the server. What I want to do is to be able to drag and drop files back and forth from the workstation to the server. I know that it will take longer this way, but is there a program like a ftp style that will reconnect if I get disconnect from the RDP?
There are several way of doing this drag and drop or using the rdp clipboard isnt the way.
The tool for the job is Richcopy free from

Its like a backup util but designed to copy files very fast over a network its robocopy on steroids as it runs multiple threads and can resume, merge files from lots of sources and a whole lot more, it has a cmd line so it can be scripted. All you would have to do is map a drive.
You can set thi sup on server and xp to run the job every x mins via a AT cmd
With rdp you can logout and leave the session running so it would cary on even when your not there.
Another one is turbo ftp which can sync files on its own without you doing anything
