Firefox stores your webpage history on your computer, it can be very useful, especially if you forget the URL of a website you recently visited and wanted to return to.

To view your webpage history hold down the CTRL key and press H.

To maintain your privacy, especially on a shared computer, it is good practice to clear the browsing history periodically. Fortunately, Mozilla Firefox allows you to do this with just a few clicks of the mouse.

This page will guide you through clearing the history in old and new versions of Firefox.

If you are unsure which version of Firefox you are currently using, click on HELP on the main menu bar and then click on ABOUT. If the menu bar is not visible then it means you are using a recent version (29 or later).

Below are the steps for the latest versions, for older versions please scroll further down this page.
