The device driver allows the operating system or other software to communicate with the related device, translating the high-level code supplied by the OS, or software, into low-level commands that are understood by the device.
Device manufacturers normally supply the drivers for their own specific products, but in some cases, generic device drivers can be used. Device drivers are often updated to support new software or features, so it is a good idea to keep your drivers current.
To find specific drivers for any of your devices, it is best to start at the manufacturer's website, as they normally have updated drivers in their respective support pages.
